Acrylic and oil pastels on canvas, 16 × 20 in., 2026
From far enough above, a harbor is just a collection of comings and goings. Boats pulling out with coolers and playlists, boats idling back in with sunburned shoulders and quieter conversations. Every one of them carrying a different week onto the water — something to celebrate, something to shake off, something to sit with for a while.
Nobody out here is on a schedule. The lake doesn't know what day it is, and for a few hours, neither do you. That's the whole point. Whatever you brought with you loosens up somewhere between the dock and the open water, and by the time you're cutting a wide turn back toward shore, the week looks different than it did that morning.
